The Talking Is the Game

Poker without table talk is just arithmetic. The needling, the groan when a flop comes ugly, the silence that tells you more than the bet – that is the part a screen usually takes away, and it is why most remote poker nights end up with a video call running alongside the app, draining two batteries at once.

EasyPoker has voice chat built in. Create a private table, share the 4-digit PIN, and everyone who sits down is already in the same voice room. No link to send, no second app, no call to set up.

Free for Everyone

Voice chat costs nothing. Every player gets an hour of talking a week – it resets every Monday, and only the time you actually speak counts against it. Listening is never limited, so a quiet player at a long game is never cut off.

If an hour a week is not enough, EasyPoker Plus removes the limit entirely. Everyone else at a Plus host's table still talks for free.

Muted Until You Choose to Speak

Everyone joins muted, and being muted means the microphone is never opened at all – no permission prompt, no recording indicator on your phone, nothing sent. Tap the microphone button when you want to be heard, and tap it again to go quiet.

That matters more in poker than in most apps. A poker night is a room with other people's conversations in it, and an app that quietly listens from the moment you sit down would be the wrong way round.

The audio itself is encrypted between your phone and the voice server that passes it on, and nothing is recorded or kept. The only thing stored is a count of seconds spoken, which is what the weekly free hour is measured against.

Voice, Not Video

We chose voice deliberately. Video eats battery, demands a connection nobody has in a pub garden, and asks you to look at a grid of faces instead of the table. Voice keeps the app light and the attention where the hand is.

It also works the way a poker night actually looks: the phone flat on the table, on the loudspeaker, hands free for the cards. AirPods, Bluetooth headsets and wired headphones all work too, and the app uses their microphone when they are connected.

The game's own chips and cards are handled so they do not go back down your microphone, and each region has its own voice server, so the delay is short enough that people can interrupt each other – which, at a poker table, is the whole point.

How It Works

There is nothing to set up. Voice comes with the table, so the three steps are the same ones you already use to start a game – and the third is simply tapping the microphone when you have something to say.

Everything Else Still Comes With It

Voice is one part of a poker night. EasyPoker deals the cards, counts the chips, keeps each player's hand private on their own phone, and works whether you are around one table or in four different cities. Texas Hold'em is free and unlimited; Omaha, Short Deck (6+) and Reverse Hold'em are there too.
